History
2014 marked our chapter's centennial anniversary. We were organized January 23, 1914, by Mrs. S.W. Foster, Georgia State Regent and thirteen charter members. Mrs. J. H. Walker would be selected among them to be the first regent of our chapter.

Current Membership
We have 40 members from the Walton County, Georgia area and meet eight times a year on the fourth Tuesday of the month, September through April, in Monroe, Georgia.

November 20, 2014 - Afternoon Tea for the State Regent's Official Visit
Matthew Talbot Chapter attendees (shown) enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with State Regent Ida "Bea" Best Smith Fischer and three other chapters: Apalachee, John Clarke, and Kettle Creek.

Membership Eligibility
Any woman is eligible for membership who is no less than eighteen years of age and can prove lineal, blood line descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence. She must provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage, and death.
