Matthew Talbot Chapter, NSDAR

Monroe, Walton County, Georgia
Daughters of the American Revolution

Welcome to the Matthew Talbot Chapter, NSDAR!

The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) was founded in Washington, D. C. on October 11, 1890. Today, the non-profit, non-political, service society has more than 185,000 members and some 3,000 chapters across the United States and around the world, all sharing a mission to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism. Click Here for more quick facts.

Our Chapter actively seeks both new members and opportunities to promote DAR objectives in our community. We proudly celebrated our centennial anniversary recently as we were organized January 23, 1914. We currently have 40 members from the Walton County area and meet eight times a year on the fourth Tuesday of the month, September through April, in Monroe, Georgia. Please contact our chapter regent, by clicking HERE for more information.

Membership Eligibility
Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible for membership. Contact our registrar or regent to attend chapter meetings. You can learn more about becoming a member HERE.
